Periodontal disease is the most common infectious disease of companion animals affecting 85% of adult pets. When left untreated, it can lead to oral pain, bad breath, tooth loss, and even systemic infections. 

Veterinary dental care is one of the most important services provided at our hospital. During your pet's wellness examination  a thorough dental evaluation will be performed. The doctor will then recommended the appropriate dental health care plan for your pet.

Our hospital offers the latest in dental technology, including:

-Charting

During the periodontal treatment the health of each tooth and gingiva is examined for abnormalities and is recorded in your animals medical record.

- Ultrasonic scaling 

An ultrasonic scaler is used to remove the tartar and plaque from the surfaces of each tooth above and below the gumline.

Each tooth is then polished to smooth the tooth's surface after the ultrasonic scaling is complete.

- Fluoride treatment
