Surgical Services

Our hospital provides a wide range of surgical services. Surgical procedures are scheduled Monday through Friday. All anesthetic procedures performed at 29th Avenue Animal Hospital include, an intravenous catheter, pre anesthetic blood screening and full anesthetic monitoring performed by a Certified Veterinary Technician. We use advanced monitoring equipment (similar to what is used in human medicine) to measure the patient's blood pressure, heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, temperature, and respiration rate throughout the procedure. Our technicians also provide detailed and compassionate pre- and postoperative care.

• Ovariohysterectomies (spays) and castrations (neuters)
• Mass removals
• Exploratory surgery
• Cystotomy (to remove bladder stones)
• Eye surgeries such as cherry-eye repair and enucleation
      (removal of the eye)
